Workplace Retaliation
Federal and Ohio employment laws prohibit retaliatory employment actions against employees who take protected activity.

Protected activities include complaining about unlawful workplace conduct or conditions, complaining about workplace discrimination, complaining about workplace retaliation, complaining about wages or unpaid overtime, identifying oneself as a member of a protected class, requesting or using medical leave, requesting an accommodation for a disability, filing a workers' compensation claim, and more.

Unlawful retaliatory conduct can include any tangible adverse employment action, such as disciplinary action, demotion, or termination.

Protected activities and retaliatory conduct in the workplace are numerous and varied.

Employees who feel they may have suffered an adverse employment decision or wrongful termination in response to activity they believe they had a right to engage in should contact an employment retaliation attorney to asses the value of their potential claims.
